The concept of personhood (who is a person within a society) is the fundamental component of any selective concept of people. A distinction is maintained in philosophy and law between the notions "human being", or "man", and "person". The former refers to the species, while the latter refers to a rational agent (see, for example, John Locke's Essay concerning Human Understanding II 27 and Immanuel Kant's Introduction to the Metaphysic of Morals). Central issues of interest to people are the understanding of the human condition and the meaning of life, and survival. Religion, philosophy, and science show or represent modes and aspects of inquiry which attempt to investigate and understand the nature, behavior, and purpose of people. Q. Why are so many people too lazy to use oil/Alkyd paint? Really, washing your hands and brushes with a bit of Varsol is not a terrible chore. Or here si an idea...toss the god damed brush, they are cheap and not really reusable anyways. Alkyd paint is so much nicer, its thick, water proof, better adhesion, and less prone to wear from foot traffic? Why are people too lazy to wash with varsol and too delicate to handle the fumes? Dont you want your paint job to last? Oh, and on the same note, why are so many people too lazy to prime? I do this kind of work on and off, and it never ceased to amaze me how lazy people are and how much shoddy work they do out of being lazy. I see people on here that rant on and on about health care justifying it by having schools, firefighters, police etc. Do people realize that these are at the local and state level and NOT the federal level. A LOT of people against it have never had any real life experience with it. They are basing their opinion on propaganda, or blaming the troubles of a loved on who is an addict of some harder drug on marijuana (there is a troll around here who makes posts often about hating marijuana and people who use it... i have found out over several posts that he lost someone close to hard drug addiction, and he blames marijuana because it was the first illegal drug the person had used). I think a lot of people should be more open to marijuana.
