Q. Do you know of anyone who has suffered from eye muscle problems while being a doctoral student? My husband began a doctoral program two years ago while also keeping a full time job. He was reading so much (not a computer issue here) between work and school that one night while reading he felt a pull in his eyes. From this point on he noticed that his eyes would get tired very easily. This continued to get worse until he had to take off work for two months to try and rest them.
