Q. I begin college next year for the 08-09 school year, and that will also begin my boyfriends 4th semester in college. We have been dating for over 3 years and plan on staying together and planning our futures together. My top college is about an 2 hours away. I will get the best education in my major at this school, and I want to go there so bad because I know its a great school. Will my boyfriend and I regret taking out loans to pay for our college education? If we stay where we live he will not have to pay for the house he lives in, but if we move he will have to pay for housing? Is it smart to value your education enough to both get up and move and take out loans? Asked by danielle - Thu Jul 26 00:31:16 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. $I'm 30,000 in debt from student loans...NEEDLESS debt. My pell grant and another grant paid a full ride...Yes I STILL took out loans to pay for stuff I didn't need. I just look at it as paying $30,000 for college, just to make myself feel better :) Use loans as a last resort if you don't qualify for a pell grant, or other grants. Why do many activists feel illegals who well in school should get free college educations & all open slots should go to the illegals first with any remaning seats going to American students. How can illegals under the dream act at age 35 still be considered a child ? Asked by Maricopa County - Sat Nov 28 20:49:32 2009 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments A. Open slots of any American University should go only to legal Americans and not to illegal aliens from any country. Why do they deserve a free ride ? Until all legal Americans get their "Dream " no one else should ! I cant for the life of me see how anyone could think that illegal aliens deserve this more than legal American citizens do in our own country. Q. I am a successful professional but was an utter failure in school. I now have two kids that are approaching school age. For my own learning I can be very intense about learning a topic when I want to but I don't do well on someone else's structured curriculum. I would love to instill in my children a passion for learning and I would hate to see them begin to see learning as work. I am tempted by articles I have read about allowing children to pursue topics that interest them at their own pace. Do you have positive or negative experiences with this kind of education? What would you recommend I read/do to learn more? Asked by Billl - Tue Mar 20 12:02:08 2007 - - 15 Answers - 0 Comments A. Having homeschooled my own three children beginning in 1984 and now working with my preschool grandson, I would say that you can instill this love of learning in your children better than anyone else. Your children are at a perfect age to begin. Although you have already been homeschooling since the day that they were born. Now is the time to let them explore this world. See the wonders it contains. Begin by giving them all the experiences you can. This does NOT need to be expensive classes like ballet, gymnastic, preschool, etc. Just let them experience life WITH you. Show them the grocery store, laundromat, flea markets, the parks, museums, etc...even the backyard! Include them when you do dishes, sort laundry, plant the… [cont.] Answered by Mary P - Tue Mar 20 12:15:24 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "educations" |
