How do you overcome the humiliation of exercise?
Q. I recently bought myself a bicycle and have been ridin g daily since i got it. I find that being obese has made everything physical more difficult. When i ride I get horrible looks and it is uncomfortable for me to even peddle but my belly jumps up and down as in turn my chest heaves. I do this to better my situation. For me it is do or die time. Why is it do you think that people sneer at fat people doing exercise? How can i keep riding knowing that the looks on peoples faces mean YUCK?

Why are cops subjecting citizens to psychological trauma and humiliation?
Q. we as citizens should never have to endure such trauma and humiliation that a breathalyzer causes. It is odd that a cop suffers more than regular citizens,I thought we were all humans. It is odd that a cop suffers more than regular citizens,I thought we were all humans and subject to the same laws.

A. Probably for the same reason they've been tazing people who are already restrained or not breaking any law as a torture and / or punishment (you're not supposed to be guilty of anything until after your trial in this country)... The same reason they think it's OK to film you everywhere, but they'll assault anyone who exercises their Constitutional right to film their actions in public... The same reason that assulting innocent people and pressing false charges on THEM in order to protect themselves has become a common practice... The other posters don't seem to get that the double standard is the problem here. If it's fair to test drivers for public safety... it's fair to test drunk cops who shoot citizens for public safety!!! Our… [cont.]

How do you deal with the humiliation of being falsely accused?
Q. I was suspended for 3 days pending investigation---turns out it was because a patient was in one of her 'moods' at the time I would like to add that this patient is very young 30 plus and she is sometimes mad at the would which I can totally relate to during this investigation not one bad thing was said about me or my work. So my question is how do I deal with the looks and stares and gossip that will no doubt come full force from these negative,shallow-minded people.I was asked back with back pay for those 3 days--In other words I was found innocent of the charge.Serious answers only please.

A. A famous sage, when falsely accused of fathering a child, answered "I see," which would also be the english equivalent of "you don't say." It takes some strength to do so, but many people are like dogs who bark at you to get a rise out of you. If you don't respond, they will shrug and walk away because you didn't play their game.
